The challenge

The legislation regarding the tracking of attendance has been in place since 1 April 2014.

This legislation caused a veritable earthquake in almost all companies associated with the construction sector.

From now on, anyone who is active in the construction of a building on a construction site with a total minimum value of €500,000 is obliged to register before accessing the site.

The ONSS intends to counter social dumping on the basis of this information.
Imtech Belgium, listed in the top 5 technical companies in Belgium, frequently finds itself on sites worth more than €500,000.
For them, it is clearly impossible to follow their 800 employees and to register them up front.

Philippe Van Samang, Business Process Engineer at Imtech, was tasked with seeking out a system allowing all of the employees to ensure this time registration by themselves without losing sight of the general overview.

The solution

At GeoDynamics, we have been involved in the ONSS project from the outset and being among the first suppliers, we even had an automatic connection to the ONSS.

We help companies to completely, or almost completely, automate the attendance registration of employees through six solutions.
Given that Imtech was already a client of GeoDynamics, they decided to register their attendance by using their existing activity logs.

Other than the advantages provided by our activity logs in terms of retrospective calculations and the automation of salaries (including mobility allowances), Imtech is now certain that CheckInAtWork works automatically. Every employee has a personnel badge.

With this badge, the employees indicate at which hours they start/finish working.
The operation could not be any easier.

All employees of Imtech have a personnel badge containing all the mandatory information for the ONSS.

Once they arrive at the building site, they simply scan their badge in front of the panel and enter the site code.
The information is sent in real time to GeoDynamics servers before being transferred to the ONSS.

Imtech was involved very early on in the ONSS project, who quickly declared them as a “guinea pig” company.

Thanks to the obligatory CheckInAtWork connection on the existing track and trace equipment, the system remains very easy for the employees. In the meantime, Willy Naessens also uses one of our innovative solutions in terms of attendance registration.

At the following stage, Imtech also intends to register their subcontractors.
